Paris, Tenn.—The Downtown Paris Farmer’s Market will have a new look when it opens this afternoon at 3 p.m. Thanks to a grant to the Downtown Paris Association, a large—and colorful—canopy was installed Thursday that will shield vendors and shoppers from the sun and rain. DPA Executive Director Kathy Ray thanked the Board of Public Utilities for installing the canopy and said it will make a great addition to the market. The market will offer a large variety of produce today, along with Hinton’s homemade honey, Utopia Farms beef and chicken, jellies, preserves, baked goods and a variety of homemade soaps. The Farmer’s Market is at the corner of Ruff and Market Streets. (Kathy Ray photo).
