Nashville Songwriters to perform in Huntingdon Saturday Night

wc-band-benefit-1000x563

The West Carroll Band is thrilled to invite you to their Band Benefit & Songwriter Showcase, featuring hit songwriters Brice Long, Casey Beathard, and Wynn Varble. The Benefit will take place on April 1st at the Carroll County Civic Center. General Admission tickets are still available for purchase here.

Presented by Carroll Bank & Trust, the event will also feature a performance by the West Carroll band students, a silent auction, and more. Organizer Jenny Mims expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community, saying, “We can’t say enough about our great sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who has stepped up to make this event a huge success. With three extremely talented songwriters from Nashville, this is certain to be an amazing night!”

There’s no doubt that the songwriters performing have an impressive collection of country hits. Casey Beathard has penned hits for artists such as George Strait, Eric Church, and Kenny Chesney, including “The Boys of Fall,” “Don’t Blink,” and “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem.” Joining Beathard on stage is singer-songwriter Brice Long, who has written Jon Pardi’s “Heartache on the Dance Floor” and Gary Allan’s massive hit “Nothin’ on but the Radio.” The third songwriter, and arguably the funniest one in Nashville, is Wynn Varble, whose writing credits include Brad Paisley’s “Waitin’ on a Woman” and Darryl Worley’s “Have You Forgotten.”

Doors will open at 5:00, with dinner starting at 5:30. Following a performance from the West Carroll band, the songwriters will take the stage from 6:30-8:00. The West Carroll Band Benefit & Songwriter Showcase is presented by Carroll Bank & Trust and Froggy 104.
