Sue Allen Hayes

Sue Allen Hayes, 77, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, in Paris.

Born Tuesday, April 24, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Leo Allen, and the late Alice Holland Allen.

Sue retired from AmSouth Bank after working for 40 years as a teller.  She then worked part-time for 13 years at Security Bank and Trust Co.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Sue enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was married Saturday, August 22, 1970, to Chester B. Hayes, Sr., who preceded her in death Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Along with her husband and parents, Sue was also preceded in death by a brother: Tommy Allen.

Survivors include her two children: Jennifer (Jon) Trosper, of Paris, and Chuck (Sunshine Darnell) Hayes, of Springville; a sister: Nancy (Ronnie) Goforth, of Nashville; and five grandchildren: Ben Hayes, Marley Trosper, Bryleigh Hayes, Jack Trosper, and Johnna Reddix.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Rev. Emily Walker officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Hayes, Jack Trosper, Mike Allen, Mark Allen, Dan Mayer, and Bill Keuss.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris.

Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
