Samuel ‘Logan’ Manning

Samuel ‘Logan’ Manning, 13, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023.

He was born Tuesday, November 3, 2009, son of Paul Amtus Manning, IV and Rachel Hendley.

Samuel was a 7th-grade student at Stewart County Middle School. He was a member of the SCMS band where he played the euphonium. Samuel was very artistic, he enjoyed making candles, and loved being outdoors.

He loved animals and always said he wanted to be a veterinarian when he grew up.

He attended Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church.

Samuel will be remembered for his grin and his kindness. He was a beloved son, grandson, and brother and will be greatly missed.

Samuel is survived by his parental grandparents, Brenda Baillie and Charles Prussia; brothers, Avry Manning, Anthony Hendley, and Andrew Williams; mother, Rachel Hendley; maternal grandmother, Cheryl Hendley; and a large extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Amtus Manning, IV and his grandfather, Richard Baillie.

Visitation for Samuel will be Tuesday, February 28, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 7:00 pm at the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Brice Darnell and Bro. Steve Phillips officiating.
