Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway has announced county general government offices will open one hour late on Thursday morning February 2nd starting at 9AM due to another round of expected winter weather Wednesday evening.
This includes the Courthouse, Annex, Airport, Health Dept, Recycling Center, Central Building, Election Commission, Archives, and other general govt offices.
Henry County General Sessions Criminal Court will begin one hour late starting at 10AM Thursday morning. Those who had court cases canceled due to weather Tuesday or Wednesday this week in General Sessions Criminal Court and are represented by an attorney should contact their attorney to ask about their new court date.
Those who had court canceled and are representing themselves without legal counsel should contact the court clerk’s office Thursday to inquire of their new court date. The court clerk’s office phone number is 731-642-0461.
The National Weather Service has canceled an Ice Storm Warning for Henry County for this evening and has issued a Winter Weather Advisory due to a chance of lite snow this evening through 6 am on Thursday morning. Temperatures will remain below freezing this evening so roads and sidewalks can refreeze and could become slick by morning. Temperatures are expected to rebound to 38-40 degrees on Thursday.
