Mary Evelyn Smith, 85, of Indian Mound, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee.
Mary was born Tuesday, June 15, 1937, daughter of the late Alvin “Pete” and Beulah Norfleet Smith. She was an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from Acme Boot Co.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Carl Roy Smith; brothers: Thurston Smith, Aaron Smith, Raymond Smith, William “Bill” Smith, and George “Peewee” Elliott; and daughter: Pam Maus.
Survivors include daughter: Ann (Stevie) Ball; son: Barry (Eva) Smith; brother: James (Helen) Smith, grandchildren: Matthew Page, Keith Ball, Mark (Courtney) Smith, Melissa (Dylan) Oldham, Marshall Smith and great-grandchild: Stella Drew Smith.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Smith Austin Wallace Cemetery, Indian Mound, Tennessee, with Rev. Joe Shannon officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers.
