Nashville, Tenn.–The Tennessee Titans honored the late Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Lee Russell and Marion County Sheriff’s Detective Matt Blansett with a moment of silence at Sunday’s game while their photographs were telecast on the stadium’s big screens.
Sgt. Russell of McKenzie was a long-time THP helicopter pilot who had also worked at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and was well-known in our area. He and Detective Blansett were killed while conducting an aerial mission in Marion County on August 23.
