Commissioner McWhorter to Host Northwest Regional Town Hall Meeting in Martin

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart McWhorter will make the seventh stop on his tour of TNECD’s nine regions by hosting a regional town hall meeting in Martin tomorrow, August 12, 2022, at the Martin Event Center.
Commissioner McWhorter joined TNECD on July 11 following the departure of Commissioner Bob Rolfe. As former commissioner of the Department of Finance and Administration, Commissioner McWhorter led the drafting of two fiscal year state budgets, co-chaired the Governor’s Healthcare Modernization Task Force and was appointed director of the Tennessee Unified Command Group to coordinate the state’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic before returning to the private sector in 2020.
