Sam Huey

Mr. Samuel Lee Martin Huey, Jr., 79, of Hornbeak passed away 3:26 a.m. Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Sam was born Sunday, April 11, 1943, in Obion, son of the late Samuel Lee Martin Huey, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Dyer) Huey. He was also preceded in death by his son: Terry Huey; two sisters; and four brothers.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a pilot during the Vietnam War,  in which he was held as a prisoner of war (POW) for seven months. Sam was a member of the Graves Chapel Church of God.
He married Willie May (Brooks) Huey Saturday, December 30, 1995. She survives.
He is also survived by one daughter: Kimberly Robison (Walley), of Pensacola, Florida; one grandson: Zack Huey; one granddaughter: Kristina Hanzel; five great grandchildren; and one brother: Pat Huey, of Memphis.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother William Matheny will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
