Sue P. Williams

Sue P. Williams, 88, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the age of 88.

She was born Sunday, March 11, 1934 in Carrizo Springs Texas, the daughter of Clarence Rosser and Ruby Pearl Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, George W. Williams, Jr. of Dover, Tennessee.

She graduated from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, Texas, in 1952 and continued her education at Southwest Texas State Teachers College where she earned a bachelor degree in health education. She was also in the Women Officers Training Class, Volunteer Reserve in the United States Marine Corps. She taught home economists in her early career and after she raised her children. She taught remedial reading classes.

She was a member of the Fort Donelson United Methodist Church, Dover, Tennessee. The family request all memorials be made to Fort Donelson United Methodist Church, 420 Church St., Dover, Tennessee, 37058.

Survivors include her sister: Ann Neill; brothers” Rex Wright (Pam) and children: Carrie S. Liebler (Tom), George M. Williams (Shelly), Mary K. Williams and grandchildren: Meagan Williams, Sarah Johnson (Adam) and Joey Liebler.

Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Anglin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Don Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Dover, Tennessee. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
