Paris, Tenn.–Under the direction and encouragement of Paris Kroger Store Manager Shawn Burns, a Virtual Food Drive for the Henry County Food Bank was held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 15, 16 and 17.
The Food Drive was organized by Food Bank Volunteers Linda Stanley, Leslie Benson and Debbie Traver who saw a need for a boost in summer nutritional foods for customers served by the Food Bank, especially children.  With children out of school they do not receive breakfast and lunch at school.
Traver said, “Our community responded with a bang and donated $1600 in Kroger gift cards.   This made it possible for food bank volunteer to restock our empty shelves and refrigerator with fresh wholesome foods (including frsh fruits, vegetables, eggs and dairy products) to go along with the dried and canned good that the food bank regularly provides.”
Paris Servpro employees Jim Stanley and Alex responded with a truck which enabled the food to be loaded from Kroger to the Food Bank promptly during the hot weather that day.
