Janet K. Ivey

Janet K. Ivey, 82,  of Paris, Tennessee, died at her residence Thursday, July 24, 2022.

She was born Saturday, July 22, 1939 in Norwich, England, to Harry Butcher and Ada Kathleen Coretta Butcher, who both preceded her in death.

Janet was a member of the Friday Night Blues Club and the Dixie Darlin’s and she loved her flowers, her horses, and her chickens. She loved music and dancing and she loved her family.

Mrs. Ivey married Charles Thomas Ivey Saturday, September 6, 1958. Her husband preceded her in death Tuesday, November 6, 2007. Mrs. Ivey was also preceded in death by her sister: Jill McCready; her brother: Raymond Butcher and her daughter-in-law: Debbie Ivey.

Mrs. Ivey is survived by her daughters: Kathleen Archie, of Paris, Tennessee, Julie (Michael) Ardis, of Wedgefield, South Carolina and Tina (Steven) Beachum, of Union City, Tennessee; her son: Charles T. “Bud” Ivey, Jr., of Wedgefield, South Carolina; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; her sister: Sheila (Jimmy) Bousquet of Bristol, Connecticut; her brother: Dennis (Carmen) Butcher, of Valencia, Spain and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Shane Long, of Healing Faith Family Worship in Union City, Tennessee, officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, and after noon Sunday.

Dustin Fisher, Brandon Ivey, Trevor Ivey, David Ardis, Brian Carlton, Kaiden Owens, Cody Archie Chasden Owens and Kevin DeWitt.
