Sharon Hames Berkley

Mrs. Sharon Hames Berkley, 79, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at her residence.

She was born in Chicago, IL on Wednesday, December 16, 1942, to Clair and Grace Frances Heartman Patterson.

She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Atwood and a retired sewing machine operator for Henry I. Siegel Trezevant and other sewing factories.

She is survived by her children: Vernon Hyde, of Trezevant, Shannon (Tony) Perry, of Jackson, Janie (Bert) Wood of Bogota, Texas; sisters: Pat Cook, of Missouri, and Kathy Williams, of Texas,  a brother: Peter (Mary Fran) Patterson, of Elgin, Illinois, four grandchildren: Tosha(Richard) Coleman, Jonathan Triplett, Cory (Winter) Wood and Axel (Samantha) Wood, and eleven great grandchildren: Kalee, Presley, Carleigh, Abram, Hannah, Mia, Jericho, Elosie, Maverick, Hattie and Denver.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband’s James Hames and Velton Berkley and brothers John Maloney and Tom Maloney.

Funeral services for Mrs. Berkley are Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Brummitt Funeral Home Trezevant.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens, McKenzie. Brother Kenny Ziess is the officiant.
