Austin Comer Perry, Jr.

Austin Comer Perry, Jr., 80, of Paris, Tennessee, died Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Henry County Medical Center.

He was born Saturday, June 20, 1942, in Paris, Tennessee, to Austin Comer Perry and Opal Irene Hicks, who both preceded him in death.

Mr. Perry was a Boy Scout as well as an adult leader with Troop 28 in Paris. He was a graduate of Memphis State University. Austin was a charter and life long member of the PIKE fraternity at UT Martin. He owned and operated his own accounting business for 30 plus years in Paris. Austin enjoyed boating, Titans football, golfing and was a member of West Tennessee Seniors.

He married Patsy Graves Perry, of Paris, Tennessee, Saturday, March 30, 1963.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons: Craig (Shelli) Perry, of Paris, Tennessee, and  Paul (Ashley) Perry, of Monument, Colorado; and his grandchildren: Houston Perry, Mason Perry, Graves Perry, Callie Pierce and Lee Perry.

His funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Tim Parrish, of Avalon Hospice, officiating.

Entombment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday; after 10:00 a.m. Saturday until service.

Terry McLeese, Travis McLeese, Mason Perry, Houston Perry, Lee Perry, and John Tipton will serve as pallbearers. Jim Thigpen is an honorary pallbearer.
