Mr. James Eddie Outlaw, 73 of Dover, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Monday, May 16, 2022 at his residence.
He was born Sunday, August 15, 1948, the beloved son of the late James Gordon and Mildred Outlaw Howard. He was a hard worker and provider for his family. He enjoyed being outdoors, farming and loved wood working. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Freddie Ray Outlaw.
He is survived by his devoted and cherished wife of 53 years, May Shepherd Outlaw; sons: James Eddie Outlaw (Michael), Jr., of Rossville, Tennessee, Dennis Ray Outlaw (Lesley), of Dover, Tennessee, Benjamin Lee Outlaw (Dawn), of Dover, Tennessee, Shannon William Outlaw (Natasha), of Dover, Tennessee; daughters: Mary Ellen Willis (Jackie Dennis), of Big Rock, Tennessee, Jesse Cecile Dority (Chris), of Dover, Tennessee; brothers: Cecil Hugh Outlaw (Janet), of Jacksonville, Florida, Frankie Lee Outlaw (Pricilla), of Dover, Tennessee, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 11:00 am at Hart Cemetery with grandson, Donnie Kirkland officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
