Kim Bentley Serving As Interim Chief Nursing Officer At HCMC

Paris, Tenn.– With 29 years of nursing experience, including 14 years of senior leadership experience, Kim Bentley has been serving as the interim Chief Nursing Officer at Henry County Medical Center since the beginning of December.

Bentley, a native of Cleveland, Ohio comes to HCMC by way of Atlanta, Georgia, most recently working at Emory Hillandale Hospital in Lithonia, GA. There, Bentley served in the role of Vice President of Operations responsible for clinical oversight, quality assessment and performance improvement and strategic collaboration.

Bentley has a combined total of 22 years of experience in the Emory Healthcare System/Dekalb Medical Center. She worked in the roles of Clinical Nurse Specialist for Critical Care, Executive Director of Patient Care Services and Assistant Administrator at Emory Hillandale Hospital, Vice President of Operations and Chief Nursing Officer at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. She also worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Gwinnett Medical Center.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in 1992 and later obtained her Master of Science from Georgia State University in 1999.

Bentley is married to Dion Bentley, a firefighter in Dekalb County and they have three adult daughters, Camille, Erin, and Morgan, the eldest of which is a Registered Nurse.

HCMC is please to have her experience and service while the organization searches to fill the position permanently.
