Union City, Tenn.–Students at Union City High School are mixing a little fun and games into their regular routine this week.

As part of the 2022 basketball homecoming festivities, a week-long variety of theme days and entertaining morning assemblies have been part of the lead-up to Saturday’s basketball games against Henry County.

Among that entertainment has been student versions of the television game show “Family Feud.” Classes have been pitted against each other and challenged to answer UC School-based questions.

Members of the high school faculty have been judges in the competition.

Dress-up themes have included Tropical Tuesday, Out of this World Wednesday, Holla at Ya’ Boy Holiday Thursday and Fab Fan Friday.

A school-wide pep rally that will include the Family Feud championship is scheduled for Friday.

The 2022 basketball homecoming queen will be crowned in halftime ceremonies of Saturday’s boys’ game with HC.

The royalty will be chosen from a Senior Princess trio that includes Kia German, Ramiyah Kerney, and Sophie Theobald.

Other members of the count will be Freshman Princess Kennedi Robinson, Sophomore Princess Jermyia Bonds, and Junior Princess Reagan Durkee.

Tip-off for the girls’ game is set for 6 p.m., with the boys’ game to follow.
