Helping Hand Radio Auction Total Now At $35,449.

Paris, Tenn.–The grand total raised in the 2022 Helping Hand Radio Auction is now at $35,449, with a strong showing today from the good folks in the Pleasant Hill community. The auction started on Monday.

The Pleasant Hill folks raised $16,332 today with a wide array of casseroles, soups, baked goods and craft items.

Today’s auction was off and running with donations totaling $6,000 from several people: Rick and TOni Turner in memory of Totyse Baker; Faye Turner in memory of Totyse Baker nd Melvin Sanders, Jane Murphy, Sarah Brewer, Diane Griswold and Beth Fay.

Auctioneer was David Jackson with assistance from the Business and Professional Women & Friends.

On Monday, January 17, items will be donated by Henry County Employees, W.G. Rhea Library, Arts Council, Trinity United Methodist Church and the Master Gardeners. Auctioneer will be Junior Staggs.

The annual auction started on Monday and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.

Saturday is expected to be another big day, with the Pleasant Hill community donating their items. The Saturday auction starts at noon.

Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.

The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.
