Services Set For Long-Time Henry Co. Fair Association Director Larry Gregson

Paris, Tenn.–Long-time Henry County Fair Association Director Larry Gregson passed away Wednesday at Henry County Medical Center. He was 74.

Gregson had a long association with the Henry County Fair and was currently serving as an Associate Director. He was a proud Century Farm owner and was a farmer and cattleman for over 60 years in the Pleasant Hill community. He also was an FFA “Star Chapter Farmer”.

A former member of the Henry County Saddle Club Drill Team and the Henry County Livestock Association, he rode pickup at rodeos throughout Tennessee including Henry County, Loretta Lynn’s and in the Nashville area. He was a longtime member of Spring Creek Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and song leader. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at Buchanan Resort and deer hunting.

Larry Q. Gregson, age 74 of Paris, Tennessee passed away at Henry County Medical Center on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. His funeral service will be 12 P.M. Friday, December 31, 2021 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stephens officiating. Burial will follow the service in Spring Creek Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Grant Norwood, Jeffery White, Burton Vick, Jerry Bomar, Ed Cuthbertson, Leon Rogers, Randall Jones and Vic Adams.

Visitation is scheduled at McEvoy from 4 until 8 P.M. on Thursday and again on Friday after 10 A.M. until service time.

Larry Q. Gregson was born December 3, 1947 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Quincie P. Gregson and the late Rebecca Lonnie Bomar Gregson. He married Deneicia Jones Gregson on August 29, 1997 and she survives in Paris. Larry is also survived by his daughter, Angie (Jason) Dotson of Mansfield; sons, Benji (Amber) Gregson, Jay (Jenny) Watkins and Daniel (Emily) Watkins all of Paris; grandchildren, Emma Grace Dotson; Oakleigh Mae and Lucy Quinn Gregson; Austin and Jacob Wilson; inlaws, Billy and Juanita Jones of Paris; also by special family and friends, Don and Carol Norwood and Billy and Anna Faye Bowden.

Besides his parents, Larry is also preceded in death by his sister and her husband, Rebecca Ann (Rev. Cecil) Brewer and by a special friend, Pee Wee Cannon.
