The Henry County Patriots fell to the Page Patriots on Friday night to end their charge toward another trip to the TSSAA state championships.

It was a frustrating game, with Page High School’s scoreboard not working.

Page Patriot quarterback Jake McNamara completed 7 touchdown passes on the evening including the game winner with 12 seconds to go in the game.  Page took the lead scoring first in the 2nd quarter but Henry County responded quickly with 8:01 to go in the half and tied it up on Ryan Damrons 2 yard run and Gavin Lindsey P.A.T. kick.  Page would counter and take the lead once again with another McNamara pas and completed P.A.T.  Ryan Damron would run another touchdown and Lindsey would complete the P.A.T. to tie the game 14-14.  Aiden Frey would give Henry County the lead with a 33 yard field goal and they would have the lead at half time 17 to 14.

Cole Townsend would open the second half with a 56 yard touchdown run and Lindsey would complete the P.A.T. to give Henry County at 24-14   Ryan Damron would run for a 54 yard touchdown, Henry County would convert the P.A.T. to make the score 31o 14.  McNamara would complete another touchdown pass to cut the lead to 31 to 21 at the end of 3 quarters.  The 4th quarter would see Page score 5 touchdowns to 3 for Henry County with Cole Townsend running for 134 yards and thee touchdowns but it just wouldn’t be enough as Page scored with 12 seconds to go in the game to take the lead 56 to 52.
On the night Henry County would have a total of 617 yards to Page’s 566.  Henry County would run 53 plays and Page 76.  Henry County would have 95 yards passing with no touchdowns from the air or interceptions.  Page would have 442 yards passing with 7 touchdowns and 1 interception.  Henry County would rush for 522 yards to Page’s 124.  Cole Townsend had 28 carries with 351 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Ryan Damron would carry 12 times for 115 yards an 3 touchdowns  Morgan Barrick would carry 3 times for 56 yards.
It was a great game but certainly a difficult loss for the Henry County Patriots.
