Springville, Tenn.–It will be a brighter Thanksgiving for 250 families in Henry County this Thanksgiving. The Sulphur Well Church of Christ, in conjunction with Second Harvest Food Bank, distributed food on Saturday to residents of the area.
A huge shopping cart of food went to each one of the families. The carts contained staples that will bless their tables.
One of the organizers of the event Jan Maupin said: “Wwe get a lot a blessing from being of service to others in our community.”
Sulphur Well Church has done this over the past five years and provides food each year just prior to Thanksgiving and again in May before Memorial Day.
Individuals registered on Thursday, organizers separated items preparing to give out on Saturday.
