Warrant Issued In Martin Shots Fired Incident

Martin, Tenn.–Martin Police have issued a warrant for a Memphis man wanted in connection to shots fired during a party in Martin last week.

The warrant has been issued for Anthony D. Thomas, age 22, who is charged with reckless endangerment.

At around 1:45 a.m. September 5, Martin officers responded to 307 Oxford St. in response to a physical altercation and shots fired.

Upon officers arrival they observed multiple individuals running from the scene. Officers were able to detain and identify several suspects but no one was arrested for the incident.

After further investigation by the Martin Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, investigators were able to determine that the offender, 22-year-old Anthony D. Thomas, did fire at least four shots from a firearm in the backyard of 307 Oxford Street. The offender fired these shots during a party that was being held at the residence where numerous people were gathered.
