Dover, Tenn.–Thanks to the efforts of Stewart County first responders, two lost hikers were found unharmed Friday evening.
The Stewart County Fire & Rescue was dispatched to Piney Campgrounds on a report of two lost hikers.
Stewart County dispatchers were able to ping the location of the hikers’ cell phone and Fire & Rescue immediately deployed an ATV and was able to locate both hikers on a trail head close to Piney.
Both hikers were transported by Fire & Rescue back to Piney unharmed.
Fire & Rescue officials commended everyone involved in the search. “Great work by Stewart County dispatch, LBL law enforcement, EMS, and Stewart County Sheriffs office,” they said.
