Union City Police Investigate Shooting Death

Union City, Tenn.–A 23-year-old Union City man died of gunshot wounds Saturday night and the Police Department is asking for the public’s help.

At 8:46 p.m. Saturday, Union City Police responded to 1205 Russell St. on a report of a person in the parking lot who had possibly been shot.

While on scene officers identified the  victim as Tarius Lewis, 23-years-old, of Union City. The victim was transported  to Baptist Memorial Hospital and treated.

Despite the efforts of medical  staff Mr. Lewis succumbed to his wounds at approximately 10:45 pm, according to the report.
