Victim Seriously Injured In UC Shooting; Warrants Issued For Suspect

Union City, Tenn.–Warrants have been issued for Aziah Nunley following a Sunday shooting in Union City which left a woman seriously injured.

According to the Union City Police press release issued this morning, officers were dispatched to the Last Word Cafe at 828 E. College St. at 2 a.m. Sunday on a report of shots being fired and one person possibly being shot.

Upon arrival, officers observed a black female, later identified as Sierra, laying on her back across the street in a parking lot on the east side of the bar.

Emergency Medical Service arrived and transported the victim to the helipad, from which she was airlifted to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Warrants are issued for Nunley on a charge of criminal attempt to commit 2nd degree murder.
