Murray, Ky.–A Murray man was arrested shortly after Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies received the call on a burglary in progress.
On Thursday, April 15, 2021 at approximately 7:45 a.m., the Calloway County Sheriff’s
Office responded to the 500 block of Geurin Road for a report of a burglary in progress.
Prior to the arrival of deputies, the suspect, later identified as William Elliott, left the
building on foot. A short time later, deputies located Elliott walking along Beane Road
and took him into custody.
Upon further investigation, Elliott’s vehicle was located at an unoccupied residence on Geurin Road where there was evidence of another attempted burglary.
William Elliott, age 29, of Murray, was arrested and charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief, and Attempted 2nd Degree Burglary. He was lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
