Fish Fry Kicks Off Saturday With Hushpuppy Dash, Demolition Derby

Paris, Tenn.–The 68th World’s Biggest Fish Fry kicks off Saturday with two events–the early morning Hushpuppy Dash followed by the Demolition Derby in the evening. The annual event runs from April 17-April 24.

The Hushpuppy Dash is at 7 a.m. at Henry County High School, sponsored by Hulme’s Sporting Goods. The Demolition Derby is at 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Entry fee $40, Admission $10 ($5 for children 6-10, free for kids under 5).

The carnival begins on Tuesday evening; the Fish Tent opens on Wednesday; the Grand Parade is on Friday and the Small Fry Parade is on Saturday.

Anyone with questions on the Fish Fry, can call headquarters at 731 644 1143. The headquarters is located on Tyson Ave. They have t-shirts, souvenirs, souvenir books, entry forms for various contests, etc.
