Leadership Carroll County Graduates 2020 Class

carroll-ldershp

Despite this year’s challenges, eight local business, civic and government leaders have been graduated from the 2020 Leadership Carroll County Class.

A total 407 people have graduated from the Adult Leadership program since its inception in 1990. It is sponsored by the Carroll County Chamber.

“The two month program provides the opportunity to learn about the life and work of Carroll County and to identify the issues, challenges and opportunities that face our communities in coming years.” said Natalie McCullough Porter, Chair of the Leadership Carroll County program. The sessions include information on Health Care, Government Operations, Education, County Demographics, Economic Development, Agriculture, Professional Development and much more.

Due to COVID-19, several changes were implemented this year. The maximum class size was reduced to eight. The number of sessions were reduced from nine to seven, and the class met weekly. Also, no traveling as a group was allowed.

The Chamber has been operating Leadership programs since 1990. More than 875 individuals have gone through both the Adult and Youth Leadership programs. The Leadership sessions are an excellent opportunity to network with class members and presenters.
