Benton Co., Tenn.–The man who was released from prison for time served after his conviction in connection with the kidnapping, rape and murder of Holly Bobo in 2011, was arrested in Benton County this morning.

Benton County Sheriff Ken Christopher said Jason Autry was seen lying in a field near the Decatur County line by a deputy on patrol this morning. Autry, age 46, was found to be in possession of a rifle which he is barred from having since he is a felon.

Autry is reportedly now living in Benton Co. The incident occured in a field along Morris Road near Coxburg Road, off Interstate 40, not far from the Decatur County line.

When deputies approached Autry, he tried to run, but was apprehended.

Autry also was in possession of meth, according to Benton County investigators.

Christopher said more information on the arrest will be forthcoming this afternoon.

In September, Autry was sentenced to eight years in prison on charges of facilitation of kidnapping and solicitation of murder of Holly Bobo, who was then a 20-year-old nursing student. She was kidnapped from her Decatur County home.

Autry had testified against Zach Adams, who was sentenced in 2017 to life in prison for her murder.
