Three Arrested For Trafficking Drugs Near Day Care

Murray, Ky.–Three Murray men were arrested Wednesday after two pounds of marijuana, over 100 packages of THC edibles and a handgun were found in their home. Their residence is located within 1000 feet of a local daycare.

Deputies from Calloway County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for 1603 A Bourland Lane, Murray, KY, in reference to a drug trafficking investigation. At approximately 10:45 a.m., Deputies served the search warrant.

Upon their arrival, Kayden Rogers and Ali Hammonds were present, along with a female juvenile who had been reported missing. While conducting the search, Avion Cavitt also arrived at the residence.  During the search, Deputies located approximately 2 pounds of marijuana packaged for resale, along with a handgun. Deputies also located over 100 individual packages of THC edibles. The residence is located within 1000 feet of a local daycare.

Kayden T. Rogers, age 18, of Murray, KY, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance with 1000 Feet of a School (Class D Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor).

Ali D. Hammonds, age 18, of Murray, KY, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance with 1000 Feet of a School (Class D Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor).

Avion Cavitt, age 21, of Murray, KY, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance with 1000 Feet of a School (Class D Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor).

 

All three individuals were lodged in the Calloway County Jail.
