Camden, Tenn.–The Benton County Schools board of education voted Monday night to delay the start of the 2020-2021 school year until August 19.
The board met at the Camden High School library in a meeting which was closed to the public but livestreamed on the district’s Facebook page.
The district originally was to start school today, August 3, but Director of Schools Mark Florence announced late last week the first day of school would be delayed because members of the ‘school family’ had been diagnosed with COVID-19.
