Dyersburg Board To Conduct Hearing On Food Trucks

dyersburg-tower

Dyersburg, Tenn.–A public hearing on a proposed rule governing food trucks will be held in Dyersburg next week and the issue is becoming controversial.

Dyersburg City Board will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Monday, June 1, on a proposed mobile food and vendor ordinance.

The Downtown Dyersburg organization posted an announcement of the upcoming meeting on its Facebook page. “What’s your favorite food truck? If the 300ft rule passes you may not see them in Dyersburg again. A public hearing will be held on June 1st and then the board will vote on major changes to the ordinance. Inform yourself and be heard if you want to save the food truck scene that has been growing in NW TN. Three local restaurants have food trucks in the works, as well as another startup, and this ordinance would make their investments worthless if this passes.”
