In-Person Court Proceedings Suspended In Henry County

Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Circuit Court Clerk Mike Wilson and Chancery Court Clerk Mary Burns jointly announce the suspension of all local in-person court proceedings through Tuesday, March 31, 2020, following an order issued earlier today by the Tennessee Supreme Court.

 

Court clerk offices will remain open but in-person court proceedings will be suspended during the Coronavirus outbreak.  This order applies to state and local courts.  Wilson said, “We are attempting to limit the public’s exposure to the virus while continuing essential court functions.”

 

Henry County Chancery and Probate Court dockets scheduled for a motion day on Friday, March 20, 2020, have been canceled and rescheduled for Monday, April 6, 2020.

 

Henry County Circuit Court dockets scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020, have been canceled and rescheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

 

All Henry County General Sessions Civil & Criminal Court dockets scheduled through Tuesday, March 31, 2020, have been canceled.  If you are represented by an attorney, please contact your attorney about a new court date.  If you are not represented by an attorney, you may call the Henry County General Sessions Court Clerk’s Office for additional information.

 

All Henry County Juvenile Court dockets scheduled through Tuesday, March 31, 2020, have been cancelled.  If you are represented by an attorney, please contact your attorney about a new court date.  If you are not represented by an attorney, you may call the Henry County Juvenile Court Clerk’s Office for additional information.
