An Evening Of ‘Purple Rain’ At The Dixie

dixie-prince

The Black Jacket Symphony will light up the stage as they perform Prince’s legendary album Purple Rain along with several of his greatest hits in their one-of-a-kind symphony meets rock concert meets light show at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts & Academic Enrichment Center Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 PM. Dixie-goers should get ready for a full night of pure rock and roll magic unlike any other.

For a decade, The Black Jacket Symphony has dazzled over a million music lovers with their larger than life recreations of classic albums. With an incredible 35 album tributes to their credit, Black Jacket’s March show at The Dixie will pay homage to the 1984 album Purple Rain by Prince & The Revolution.

With crowd favorites including Purple Rain’s title track, “When Doves Cry,” “Let’s Go Crazy” and “I Would Die 4 U,” this is a tall order to fill. But Black Jacket delivers like no other with their unique concert experience. Black Jacket shows are separated into two sets–the first set featuring the album amazingly recreated as a true symphonic piece, with a full array of instruments bringing beloved favorites to life note for note, sound for sound.

After a brief intermission, the second set, which features a selection of the album artist’s “greatest hits,” opens with all the bells and whistles of a major rock and roll show. With out-of-this-world lights, video and a dynamic group of handpicked dynamic musicians specifically selected for the album, the second set promises to leave fans wanting more.

The Black Jacket Symphony has performed for sold-out audiences throughout the Southeast and is excited to bring their incredible music, light and video experience to The Dixie’s stage in Huntingdon, TN where everyone enjoys a front-row view.

Tickets are on sale for $25, $30 & $35 and can be purchased online at DixiePac.net or at The Dixie Box Office. Call 731-986-2100, M-F, 10-4p, for more information.
