Bruceton's Patrick Willis Inducted Into Tennessee Sports Hall Of Fame

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bruceton Native Patrick Willis has been inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2019—a star-studded class which includes Peyton Manning, Kara Lawson, Kippy Brown, David Cutcliffe, Charles Davis, George Taliaferro, Bob Tillman, and Kimberly Anne Valeck.
Willis won the TSSAA Class A Mr. Football Lineman Award while at Bruceton-Hollow Rock High School, was first-team All-SEC, first-team All-American and SEC Defensive Player of the Year in college with Ole Miss and was a 7-time Pro-Bowler and Butkus Award Winner in his time in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers.
Willis returns frequently to Carroll County and participates in charity and other work for the school districts and Bethel University.
Earlier this year, Willis was inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame.
Manning is the NFL‘s only five-time MVP and a 14-time Pro-Bowler. He’s earned his place among the greatest quarterbacks in league history as one of the leaders in nearly every statistical passing category and is the first starting QB in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with two different teams, the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos.
Congratulations to Kara Lawson on her upcoming induction into the #TSHF2019 class this Saturday!
Lawson is a full-time NBA analyst for the Washington Wizards, an Olympic gold medalist, USA basketball coach, athlete and community leader. She attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she played basketball under the legendary Pat Summitt.

University of Tennessee Director of Athletics Phillip Fulmer serves as teh Chairman of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
