Union City, Tenn.—A Union City man was arrested for aggravated assault after allegedly threatening a man with a knife on Friday.
Union City Police officers were called to 613 N. Division St. around 1 p.m. Friday on a report of someone breaking into a house and threatening to kill someone. A neighbor told police he saw a white man with a knife and a white woman enter the house next door and then heard a lot of noise coming from the house. He said he then saw the victim run out of the back door and saw the suspects leave.
The victim said his front door had been kicked in the night before and the screen door was being held shut by a rope. He said he was shaving in the bathroom when he heard the screen door open. He walked into the other room and saw the white man and white woman in the house, with the man holding a knife.
He said the white man told him he was going to kill him if he didn’t give him his money back. He said after he ran out the back door, the man and woman left in a dirty jeep with two lights on the front. The victim said all he knew was that the man’s name was Andy.
Police showed him a photo and the victim said that was him. Officers were able to identify the suspect as Andrew Dailey and officers were familiar with the jeep. A warrant was issued for Daily and he was found at his residence on Adams St. later that afternoon.
