Dover, Tenn.—A fiery blaze engulfed two vehicles involved in this morning’s wreck on Hwy. 79 in Dover, but miraculously, preliminary reports indicate that the occupants of the vehicles escaped without serious injuries.
A photo shared with WENK/WTPR shows just how huge the blaze was.
A pickup truck and small hatchback vehicle collided on the highway near McDonald’s and the entrance to the LBL. Dover Police are investigating the accident and the personnel who can speak about it are still at the scene.
Local fire department personnel and ambulances were called to the scene along with the Dover Police and Stewart Co. Sheriff’s Office.
Witnesses have told WENK/WTPR that occupants of the vehicles appeared to be o.k. following the wreck. Both vehicles were completely burned out.
That section of Hwy. 79 was closed for a time this morning immediately following the crash.
