Springville, Tenn.–An unoccupied camper at campground in Springville was destroyed by fire and the cause is under investigation.

Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department Chief Reggie Coles said his department and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Hidden Creek Campground at 2576 West Antioch Rd. at 6 p.m. on a report of a camper trailer on fire.

Arriving units found a 5th Wheel camper fully engulfed in flames, he said.

Owners Charlie & Debra Dover of Humboldt said they had last used the camper three days ago and everything seemed okay at that time, Coles said.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  Damage is estimated at $35,000.00.  Three trucks and six firefighters were on the scene for one hour.
